Thuja (arborvitae) – Latin for Tree of Life – is an evergreen pine native to the mountainous slopes of eastern Canada. The Ojibwe Indians used the essential oil for the treatment of warts and fungal skin conditions, and also as a cleanser, disinfectant and insecticide.
