Description
Horse Chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum) Seed has a long history of use in herbal folklore. The Horse Chestnut tree is a member of the Buckeye family. The Horse chestnut got its name due to the shiny brown conkers or seeds which look like Chestnuts but are actually not true chestnuts. Also, a horse-shoe mark is left on the twig after the leaf drops in autumn.
